SEHIT ANIL BARIS CETIN VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL  HIGH SCHOOL

Şehit Anıl Barış Çetin is a vocational and technical highschool in Turgutlu Manisa/Turkey,  It was founded in 1978 in Turgutlu/Manisa.  In 2019 Our school was named as “Anıl Barış “after the soldier who was martyred..We have 4 departmentsTheseare; marketing department, accounting department , ICT department and Office management.

We have  42 teachers in our school.Some are vocational subject teachers and someare general subject teachers Wehave total of 567students (15-18 aged),3 assistant director and a director.

We have  2 science laboratories ,  9 computer laboratories   a football and basketballpitch , conferenceroom, a library and schoolcanteen.

Our school library is the largest of the school libraries in our district. There are nearly 6000 books in our library.

Our school is very active in Etwinning Project and  has lots of quality labels in international eTwinning projects.

We are the most successful school in our district in sports activities and we have many medals and cups.

Our school is very green and we have 321 trees and a hobby garden in our school.

In accounting department students learn accounting and taxpracticesmIn marketing department students learn marketing and salestechniques. In Office management department our students learn the key skills and core competencies needed to work as a secretary. InIct department our students learn coding, programming, computer repairing, web and grafficdesign. Some of our graduates are studying at the university. Some of them have a business opening certificate.

OUR CITY TURGUTLU

TurgutluLocated in the east of Uşak, in the west of Manisa, in the north of Kütahya and in the south of Denizli, our district is the 3rd largest district of Manisa in terms of population. It is known that a settlement was formed by a Turkmen tribe called Turudlu during the Saruhanoğulları period, it developed rapidly during the Ottoman period, and then its name was Turgutlu.

It was occupied between 29 May 1919 and 7 September 1922.

Thanks to the fertile lands and suitable climatic conditions of the Gediz Plain, grapes, cotton, wheat, tobacco, vegetables and fruits are grown in the district, whose economy is based on agricultural production and soil industry. The developing canning industry in the district has led to diversity in the field of agriculture. It is important to produce cherries, plums, figs and peaches from fruits, and pepper, cucumber and tomato from vegetables.
